Did everyone else miss this too ?
Ron Tauranac ( as in Ralt , Williams, Honda and Arrows F1 ) died aged 95 on July 17 on the Sunshine Coast. I stumbled on his UK Telegraph obit from 2 days ago 5 minutes ago..
What is going on if an Aussie icon like this gets an obit 2 months down the track in an overseas paper or is that I have just missed something obvious ?

Ron Tauranac took two years to build his first racing car in a lock-up garage in Sydney. The first time he raced it, in 1950, the car ran wide in a corner, flipped and threw him out. He nearly died.

I did see it, but mainly in motorsport news, not much in mainstream media. Wasn't a footballer, was he.
 
A good obit in the Sydney press, but little more than the death notices columns in the newspapers elsewhere.
