Hi all,

i have a 2008 308 that had a leak from the oil feed pipe to the turbo, I have replaced it with a braided hose and fixed the problem, but I noticed now a small amount of oil at the bottom of the turbo around the return pipe fitting. I was wondering if i can use the crc red gasket hi temp sealant on to the fitting.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

cheers, Darko

Make certain don't crack the casting when fitting new hoses.
Overtightening can cause this.

Work out exactly where leak is coming from, degrease run and check

Always use new copper washers, if fitted, to prevent leaks

Thanks driven,
I did replace the copper washers of the feed line, I was just wondering if I could use the gasket hi temp sealant from CRC to save me from buying hole new hose and fitting.

Can use talc powder to see where leak is coming from.

Sealant shouldn't be necessary.
The copper washer must be correct sizing as per original.

Can reuse an old one by heating them to red hot and cool in air.
Clean up oxidising

This process re-softens them so they will conform better.
