Just a quick question, is it still possible to get parts through Renault Australia (dealer service departments) on older renaults like the R19, Laguna, R25? What about R16's and R8/10 are they still possible to get new parts for?

probably, but why would you want to when places like carrevelle are so much cheaper?

Wow cheers for such a quick reply, but how much cheaper would ordering off caravelle be and are the parts from caravelle recon or brand new?

Carrevelle - s**tloads cheaper and will ship anywhere. All new stuff, genuine and non genuine stuff (from Sasic, Valeo and whatever other stuff he finds in bulk and cheap in Europe and imports.)

Mentone Rnault is a good dealer with good prices for a dealer and a helpful french spare parts manager. R19 parts are very easy to get. If they are not in the country then it takes about 2 weeks.

Are the non-genune parts of good quality, how do they compare to the genuine parts?

anything carrevelle sells will be of good quality, and if its not he will look after you. You will have no problems, and keep a lot of cash in your pocket.
Most parts come from France and Spain.
Aftermarkets brands such as Valeo (who supply a lot of french car OE parts anyway - you just pay less for the same part in a Valeo box instead of a Renault one), QH and Sasic are all well established brands with a good reputation.

I've been buying parts for various Renaults from Caravelle (Ken and before him his Father in law Norm) for over 30 years and have found no one more helpful or cheaper and the parts have always been reliable and of good quality.

Buy with confidence!!

Caravelle's web page is one of those 'contact details only' home pages. Take our word for it, they are excellent. Absolutely reliable and honest, second to none. I can't recommend them highly enough, and I too have been dealing with them since Norm was around (~12 years).
