renault clio sport 172

How do non-franchise workshops get around the need for specialist diagnostic equipment? Especially when the new Renaults are all "wired up" to have the chip adjusted on the run by the workshop.

interesting question murat, i think my 205 16v would be a little behind unfortunately but not by a huge margin, both clio's are quite heavy considering [1035 kg] [1320 kg v6] the clio 172 altho only a few more gee gees than i it is a good 200 kg heavier. all my mags put it between 6.6 and 7.2 [o-100] and the v6 at 6.2 in my quest to find more tuning bits for clio's i found this site, its in brasil but some cool cars on it, please go to www.storm.com.br/tuningcorner/clio_rs.html cheers jr.

The Cleo V6 is coming here, they are trying to get it for the Grand Prix next year, about 50 cars are coming and will be priced around $75,000. They are talking about parade laps at the GP but nothing official yet. I have also heard of one deposit has already been paid but we'll have to wait and see.
PS. The new Renault range officially went on sale yesterday (Wednesday 23 May).

David.

There is a Nissan agent near you on Barker St, Cnr of Avoca St, Randwick (Coogee) with Renault plastered up. They would have some there now I'd say.

Sorry, I forgot to ask specifically, is there any other Renault dealer in Sydney other than Nissan Randwick?

Having a Nissan, I've had the car repaired there and these are the problems that were generated by Nissan Randwick:

-They broke the seat adjuster (almost 3 years and no reply - I've long since given up chasing this up)
-Maladjusted/abused the clutch causing my clutch to burn out (at 27000km!!!)
-Even after the clutch was replaced, there were further repairs required - they didn't fit the clutch properly.

I went to another dealer (Nissan Bankstown) and had to return the car 3 times for the same repair (just a standard service interval)! The 3rd time because I found my car was leaking oil after the 2nd repair!!!

Generally, they were rude and uncooperative. If there was a problem, they usually couldn't or wouldn't fix it. Talking to Nissan HQ about the problem was about as useful as pissing in the wind.

As you can see, I am furious with Renaults being sold and serviced by Nissan. My message to potential buyers in Sydney is to avoid Randwick Nissan. It has the poorest after sales service I have ever seen - and we've had quite a few cars.

officially they go on sale a few days ago...thats a joke with my local nissan/renault dealer. they seem to give the impression that it is a burden to sell renault. they still dont have brochures or even a car to display. i phoned them about this on friday and the staff member [sales] secretly told me i'd get better sevice if i went to the other dealer on the other side of brisbane. would i want these people to sevice my new renault. i think not!!
