While cleaning the chimney flue I noticed it needed some urgent repairs and I just happen to have the very thing in my collection of old metal. If a satellite should spot that I think can expect a visit from the French Foreign Legion, I believe they only knock once. 🔥

Go the Matildas!

being well past the age of clambering on rooftops, ours gets a scrub from inside. Couple of doovers here, stiff brush on a flexi-stick and a nylon wonder that thrashes around driven by the battery drill - the drill version gets the prize.
Only drawback is the new firebox, a Jindara, requires cleaning and stripping before you can get the baffle plate out. Gasco, a local company, aren't interested in offering a two piece baffle to overcome the problem either, guess they've sold the heater.... An attitude problem that goes way back in time to UK built cars sold here long ago "this is how it comes, like or lump it", they were the first to go....
