Hello everyone,

Thank you for accepting me on this esteemed Forum.

I have just purchased a 306 convertible in decent driving condition.
However, the rear plastic window has become somehow opaque.

Does anyone know of a way to bring it back to 'clear'?

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Matthew,

Thanks for the info.
However, you say it is zipped and so I went to have a look and could not find a zipper.
Is it somewhat hidden below a tape or something?

Yes hidden well and tuely, what year is your car? You can feel it but its sealed with double sided sealing tape, rubberised.

I forgot to welcome you here, so let the question and answers flow.

Thank you for the welcome.
The rego says its a 2002 but the VIN decoder (online) tells me its a 2003

In which case look harder you will feel a bump where it goes, be careful and the new window comes with tape to redo this.

No trouble, problems start when fitting the new window, it needs to be centered and with a zip this is not trivial! Enjoy it, I have the same model different colour same year.

I assume you've done the exercise (fitting a new window).
Do you do it from the outside? inside?
Would it not be relatively easy if you photographed the way the old one is and replicate the same position/situation of the zipper?
