Radio chassis size--oldtimer

Best to drive with earplugs to modify the singing of the 203 beastie. So while yer at it just pipe in a bit of music through the earplugs and deafen yerself in a more pleasurable way than that old gearbox whine.

I have a couple of old philips out of 404’s, to which you would be welcome. They would need to be tarted up, but look OK

Could measure them for you to give idea of size if this would help

What I have done with my 404 is to install a REtrosound modern radio , which can be ordered with a variety of relatively period specific face plates and which has smaller innards that fit just about anywhere. Retrosound are an American crowd, so this may solve your functional problem, if by creation of an originality problem

The retrosound gives AM/FM and the ability to plug in one’s iPhone or other device. Sound quality is good

Best Wishes

Andrew
What's the radio tray / sleeve size for older models such as 604s and 504s? It's smaller than 1980s+ DIN and presumably can fit some of the smaller Philips and Grundigs from the 70s. Does anyone sell these new anymore?
