R8 upgrade project

And these are the only tyres I have ever had mounted that both balanced 100% with no weights added.

Never seen that before....

I experienced that on our new 2003 Mazda6 Luxury Sport with the factory Japanese Bridgestone Potenza's. Through the 40,000 k's of their life, they were in perfect balance and remained that way all the way through. Never seen anything like that either. Freak tyres!

Back in the day when the R10 and R8 models were current, I had Michelin 135-15 ZX tyres that were perfectly balanced. I didn't realise it was uncommon, but the naivety of youth eh!! :)

Camrys were raced in the 2 litre touring car championship in South Africa ( think it was in the 90's). They were preferred to the Corollars because the longer wheel base gave more straight line stability, they were more aerodynamic and they could be "engineered" to the same weight as the Corolla.

Just knocked up over the 10k mark on this engine build.

Like my wife, i'm not conserving my R8 for the next owner.

All those horrible terrible non standard mods have made it so damn reliable - shame on me!

It's super straight and doesn't have a drop of rust in it.
Discs all round, 10s box and an 1100 with dual throat weber.
It will be up for sale too - i've too much stuff and not enough life cycles left to complete everything.
It's stored in the underground carpark at work.
Here is a pic with its original owner.
