Looking for one or two late model (?Dunlop) steel rims with the rectangular cut outs and black patterning. They were used on TXs overseas but made it here on the last of the 16s I think.Anyone have some they are willling to part with?

Stewart,

I was beginning to wonder if ANYONE had a 16 too!

Renwreck in Perth had a truly appalling 16TS a few weeks ago with 5 of the said wheels, but covered in surface rust. If they haven't thrown the whole disaster away (and I couldn't find a single thing on it worth scrounging!) they might still have the wheels. If you can find someone very clever (or are clever) it might be possible to copy the paint - they're more charcoal/grey than black.

Those wheels were fitted to the last of the 16TS cars in Australia in 1975-76. They were known as 16TS Specials, and had 16TS steering wheels and road wheels, velour trim and generally more French content. They made a large batch, parked them all over the place and sold them over a few months. I obviously have one.

Good luck.
