disclaimer; for my modern car, i use a mechanic (and you good people)
Asked to find my problem he advises replacing the lower control arm bushes / caster bushes
ought to fix what has been worrying me for some time.
EAI can supply assemblies ( '2' above maybe?) @$140 ea., noting ball joints not included.
How might that compare with sourcing genuine bushes (requiring hours)?
Will ball joints likely be needed and should the bolts, etc., be recycled?
thanks in advance

On our now ex C4 I took the EAI option and bought two new lower control arms, ball joints were fine. During other work I had Continental Cars fit the new LCAs.

As you suggest the stuffing around sourcing and replacing the bushes is not worth the effort.
