Just thought i would ask the question?

How many miles are the PRV engines good for?

Reason i ask is mine has done 124.000mls and i have got to have the solenoid valves changed in the Autobox.
I know a fair bit about cars but nothing about these engines or gearboxes.

Ps I have a Laguna v6.

Thanks In Advance

Hard to say really, I've heard that many low kilometre import replacement motors from Japanese cars are basically worn out, because while they don't run up a lot of k's they clock up a lot of hours just from running in traffic jams.

Without knowing the conditions the car has run in, such as permanent stop start driving in snow, or nice clear motorway running and regular servicing it could be difficult to ascertain the amount of wear a motor has.

From the very few later PRV motors I've known they seem to run up at least 150,000 odd miles before showing signs of wear.
