Hi,

Here's what will be the next Peugeot concept-car displayed at the next Frankfurt Show in september!!!!

The engine is the future PSA/Ford V6 HDI(+200 hp) :cool: wink

Wow, I really like it. The direct front on is a bit off putting, but every other angle I really like. The front air dam looks like it's sucking in awful lot of air there. Turbo version coming, perhaps?
Those wheels are very cool.

Peugeot of late have had a concept car that either:

A) there's not a snowballs chance in hell of it coming to fruition; or
B) is an accurate reflection of a future model, minus the slammed and large wheels...

I'm going for B on this, interesting deviation from the sleek 406 Coupe, but I still really really like it.

Okay, okay, in all seriousness I quite like it. Not much of a fan of the "gaping mouth" trend on new Pugs, though, as you might have guessed tongue

It's somewhat similar to the Benz C-class coupe thing, except sleeker. Those front lights look great, much better than 206/307 IMO.

The back looks just a little "humpy" in this photo, though ( <a href="http://zoouz.free.fr/divers/elixir/09_407elixir_md.jpg" target="_blank">photo</a> ) -- though you can't really see it in any of the others. Then again the same design looks brilliant from this angle.. ( <a href="http://zoouz.free.fr/divers/elixir/11_407elixir_md.jpg" target="_blank">photo</a> )

I'd prefer to see the rear end profile a bit more flowing, making the rear end somewhat Porsche-like. I guess that would make things uncomfortable for rear seat passengers, though mallet

I wouldn't be surprised if a derivative of this design ended up being the 407 Coupe.
 
ugh...i hate it..

coupe smells of Hyundai Tiburon

the hatch looking thing smells of an old Laser Lynx.

I took a drive of a 406 Coupe today - beautiful car...

please Peugeot - dont ruin it...
 
What we can say is that the 407 Elixir has a strong personality, exactly like the Alfa-Romeo 156 Sportwagon!!!! wink

hmmm, I'm all confused now. This looks like there is no second row, but all of the other pics show there is one!

I don't see the Hyundai Tiburon in it, sorry.
 
I agree with the tiburon assessment. Front looks very very bland. Love the agressive back, but the front needs some beefing up.

Wish they did this to the 207 rather than the 407.
