Peugeot 404 1967

They all self parked, two different locations for the switching though.
 
Thermostat opens at about 88 so thats why it dropped. HPR 30 and whatever filter you can get hold of, still got the generator and cartridge filter?
 
No mine has an alternators, but still got the original generator also no cartridge mine has the steel filter

i have a 69 model and it is self park has 3 wires earth wire all time positive wire and a wire from the switch ,when the motor is in park position it gets its feed from the switch once in operation it runs on the all time active ,there is a small switch in the gearbox of the motor that makes this posible ,so either its wired incorectly or the switch isnt disconecting in the park position ,and it just keeps running pugs

Is it for a radiator fan or a fan clutch!!

For energising the magnetic clutch on the fan, as shown in the pics. When volts are applied to the clutch it should make a loud click. These were the best ever fan arrangements for RWD cars, much better than those viscous things or the electric motor driven ones.

The 404s we got here never had this, and as a result were very noisy at higher revs, yours would have been upgraded by the use of a 504 pump.
