Peugeot 306 starting problem

Hi to all
I just program the starting key to a Peugeot 306 year 2000 that loss the keys. When I finished we try to start the car and it was not possible. There is not spark on the igniter and not gasoline to the engine. I don’t know if before this it was possible to do it because the car was not started for more than one month. I want to allocate the problem if it is in the key plus the immobilizer or something else. Can somebody tell me how I can separate the problem? I know that a short circuit between two of the ECU pins will enable the starting if the problem is in the key coding or in the immobilizer. I will appreciate very much to receive any idea about this problem and how to solve it.

Did you conveniently lose the keys or did you happen to have a car "fall off the back of a truck" without any keys.

Unless you can give us a more believeable story it sounds to me like you've stolen a 306 with a tow truck and want to get a key for it.

If you truly do own this car, why don't you do what a normal person would do, and go to a dealer, prove your ownership with the registration papers and purchase reciepts and they'll cut you a new key and encode it.

Good idea why dont you jus do wat Deka says, but im not sure of this but on my dads car the key actually has a chip in it and it is recognised when its inserted into the ignition.
 
You will require the dealer to reprogram your key and the ECU to match.

This can be done the easy way by providing the dealer with security code card or the hard way where the dealer has to contact Peugeot factory for the unlock code depending on the engine # and chassis #.

So as a legitimate owner of the 306 you will have no problem getting the security card, right? And with the card in hand a quick trip to the Peugeot dealer will fix your problems.

But giving you the benefit of the doubt...You will need the Security card that came with your car. From here the dealer can reprogram your ECU and a new Key.

Failing that you have to prove you own the car and Peugeot have to get the code from the factory, then reprogram it, etc.

Either way it will be in the dealership for a day, they can order a new key on the spot, it will cost you all up, including reprogramming the ECU and key around $150 - $200. I was in the pug' dealer the other day and an owner had lost their key and were doing just this. It was a 307 and it set them back $200.

is this someone trying to work out ways on how to relieve us of our cars ????
first an Mi-16 taken in canberra now someone asking how to get out of the lock out feature :confused:

just did a search on this persons posts and all 4 are all about security codes dating back to last month
