I am loosing water once the engine heats up. I have had the car pressure tested which was ok. I believe it might be a bottom radiator hose which I have been unable to source for a replacement or possibly a defective oRing from the block but I dont think there is any crack in the block and the gaskets are ok.

If you have any suggestions it is appreciated and even better a specialised mechanic in Sydney or the South Coast NSW I can send the car to to get fixed.

The car otherwise is in very good condition and has a lot of money spent on the engine so definitely needs to be fixed.

I would take Graham's suggestion first.

If no result, I would check the oil.

Is there any water in the oil? What does the oil look like? Does the oil refill cap smell sweet like coolant?

Not always conclusive but if you have an oil change coming up and you can't find the leak elsewhere, you could change the oil now and then examine the colour after a proper drive. Fresh oil might show any contamination a little bit more clearly.

This is just to rule out an internal leak.

How bad is the coolant loss?

its been a very long time since i owned an MI16 but i do recall there being a tube that runs across the back of the engine that suffers from corrosion, if its leaking slowly onto the hot extractor there is no way you are going to see it dripping under the car ,crack the sump plug open a little if there's coolant in the sump it will be under the oil ,it will come out first ,unless there is so much in there the oils gone milky ,there is a lot of people on here who have more up to date knowledge on MI16 than i do ,have you bled all the air out of the rad with the bleed screw on the thermostat housing ,
