It is all looking good. I'm am watching your thread with great interest. Taking plenty of notes for the future.

What method have you used to strip the panels? Are you applying a protective coating the bare metal?

hi Dano,
strip the panels = heat gun then sanding, after 70 years on the van the paint is rock hard...
protective coating the bare metal = yes primer...
l still have more to do on the doors, the hardest part is sanding the inside of the doors...
my next job is to get somebody in to do the welding on the panels, then l can start painting
l still have the grill to do...

It seems like a long way to go but the progress looks good.

The sticker was always in the left hand glove box. Glued on very well.

got the primer on the doors & bonnet, next bolt all the panels on & line up (the guards & bonnet are just siting on the van, not bolt on) sand, primer & body filler, then top coat...
