Peter Brock 1994 Peugeot 405 MI16 Series 2 Car Manual Sedan Tribute up for auction

"Tribute" appears to be a very elastic term.

Well, it's not so much the word itself but where you put it.

Compare:

Peter Brock 1994 Peugeot 405 MI16 Series 2 [...] Tribute

Peter Brock Tribute 1994 Peugeot 405 MI16 Series 2 [...]

Tribute Peter Brock 1994 Peugeot 405 MI16 Series 2 [...]

As far as "tribute" goes, it seems this is one of those words anyone can use anywhere to mean anything.

I owned one of the original Brock MI16's for a short time, purchased it from a friend who had bought it direct from Peugeot after the race. Mine did a clutch early in the race and was retired, and the boot was full of memorabilia from the race and included a few sets of front brake pads that had melted during practice. I was told that brakes were the biggest problem faced by the team. I sold the car to a nephew who did a bit of motor sport in it, then he subsequently sold it to a Peugeot collector in Victoria. For a "production" car it had a lot of improvent work done on it and was very quick on a winding road.
