Hi all has anyone here put superlites on their 504? I would like 15 x 6 or 15 x 7 rims so I thought I would ask to see if anyone has done this, what was required for them to fit for example, offset and what size tyre did you go with?

any help would be appreciated,

thanks Trent.

Many years ago I got Performance Wheels to make a set of 15 x 6 Superlites (Minilite copy) to fit my Renault 4CV with 3 x 150 pattern. The pattern is large and they used blanks that were were made for Suzuki 4WD, so the centre area was larger, which you would possibly need also given I think the 504 has 140 x 4 PCD. These wheels also had some gusseting behind the spokes and were made more heavy duty for 4WD work. Massive overkill on a 670Kg 4CV.
The wheel moulds that Performance had, or at least the old style wheels were bought by Chris Neale, originally of Neales Wheels in Sydney. The wheels are cast overseas somewhere, but the quality was fine on the 5 we got as best I could tell. He is now on Moss street at Slacks Creek on the Southside of Brisbane.

I had a set of 15 x 7 Superlites made up by him recently for my brother's Mk1 Escort. These wheels have no markings other than what is needed by the various government bodies. Don't know what he has available, but he is a knowledgeable man when talking about wheels.

Their Ebay site.

Given how many Pug wheels have ended up in the hands of early Subaru owners like me, I think it is prudent to remind you that the old design Performance Superlite style was made with a 4x140 PCD and were mildly popular with the old 4x140 Subaru people. I have a set of 15x6" on my Brumby.

I did get in contact with the new owners of the Performance brand after the founder sold off the business. When the old business was closed down, the brand went one way and the plant and equipment went another way (to Chris Neale I take it). There was some legal disputes over ownership of the brand as a result.
The owners of the brand are active selling classic style wheels under the Performance brand. They have a new design Superlite wheel which is a more faithful clone of the original UK Superlite. I have seen them in 15x6 and 15x7 fitted to a couple of 4x140 Subarus, so it seems the new design can accomodate a 4x140 PCD.

Failing searching out the 4x140 Subaru world for some off a Brumby etc, Neales Wheels would be the go for new cast old style wheels.
cheers,

Thanks for your comments Matthyw, having looked into it I’ve decided to go widened stock rims to 15 x 6. They are getting made at extensive wheel services here in Adelaide.

I’ve got Superlites 15x8 on my 205. I have the special racing lighter version.

I borrowed this picture from a fellow Norwegian Peugeot enthusiast. This is original minilites on a brand new car.
