The restoration of the bodywork is underway with the main task being the construction of a new floor and its fitting. I would post a photo but a picture of a large hole is not easy to take and not very informative. It is surrounded by the tubular frame of the car which is more interesting - welded 10 cm dia steel tube.
The car had had a rear end shunt and repaired by Dodgy Frères. A mess of fibreglass, riveted panel and alignment errors. For me that has been a fast track learning curve in panel beating and forming replacements from sheet metal, the body parts being unobtainable.
The fuel tank has rust perforations on the top. it is thoroughly cleaned out and so I can weld it without risk of a big bang but my efforts last year to weld or re-tin the steel were a failure. I have the resin for the inner coating solution and if all else fails....
