P504 TI Fuel Tank

Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the forum but a long time follower. I'm in the process of overhauling the fuel system but unfortunately I failed to mark which fuel line { feed or return } attaches to which of the 2 outlet pipes at the base of the tank. The lower pipe is about 2cm off the bottom of the tank, the other is about 2cm about that one. In side the tank, I notice the 2 pipes virtually touch as they enter an internal drone area located over the fuel drain plug.
Can someone stick their head under the back of a P504 TI check for me please.

Thanks BIGRR for the info via the 'P504TI fuel tank' picture. Now to move on to getting the car started. This may prove challenging on account of past posts I've been reading. I only decided to purge the system because it wasn't running as smooth as it always did. Fingers crossed !!
