It could be any of 32 entries but I'll just guess and say it's Ken Tubman and John Marshall?
Whilst doing what i do i discovered some more have been found and digitised since;
A good collection, a quick glance at results and I don't notice the names as finishers but may have entry under a garage name.
I wonder whose showroom? Can't pick Chapman or Smith who you'd expect to be there if it was CCM. Last guy I knew who had a personal knowledge of the CCM showroom and staff from 1950's passed last week. On closer inspection I'd make third from the right in the showroom picture to be Chapman.

Town Hall welcome 27th July 1954, Mayor was Councilor Solly, then to a welcome at the Canada Cycle & Motor Co showroom, then a tour of Victorian dealers.
The photo reminds us of how big an operation Canada Cycle was. During the war they had housed the American Army spare parts inventory and had repaired their vehicles. They waterproofed the Australian army vehicles headed to the Pacific, repaired war damaged vehicles and had a major electrical division that designed a testing switchboard for the electricals in the General Grant tank. They designed specialist pumps and designed and built a headlamp focusing machine for the army. A quality engineering operation.
The man in the bow tie to the left of the crowd might be Keith Dunstan.
I wonder if the man in the suit extending the welcome might be G.L. Scott.

Important photo of the CCM staff. Best importer Peugeot has ever had in this country.
Graham Wallis should know but I believe no Redex cars were present at the re-runs.

Car 1 from 1953 Chrysler airflow took part in the 2003 event. Also Citroen light15 from1954 joined in around Brisbane.
Sorry I meant Peugeots. Yes, I saw Hoy's Airflow, an impressive vehicle. The Grey Ghost Ford from 1954 was said to still exist. Remember Malcom Poulson claimed to have Smith's non- finisher but it wasn't.

Sorry forgot about the Jack Murray Ford Which was on display at the start.
The absolute peak decade of Peugeot in Australia. After Canada Cycle and Motor Co it was all downhill with poor quality dealers becoming all too common during the Renault period.
Confirmed the gentleman in the suit greeting the drivers in the showroom is L.R. Buxton manager of CCM.
