What do people think of the timetable and the new models............ off the http://www.goauto.com.au site
WHAT'S COMING
2003
April: Trafic medium commercial
June: Vel Satis luxury hatch
October: Megane II small hatch

2004
Espace large people-mover
Kangoo light commercial
Master large commercial
Megane II coupe/convertible
Scenic II compact people-mover

No avantime, no word of the New Clio V6 or Espace

Do people like the idea of having to wait for all these various models, it looks like renault are doing all they can, re "We are very much committed to this (Australia) and the commitment will be to bring the delay back from 12 months to between three and six month," Mr Schweitzer said. but it seems to me as we are such a small market, that we will just have to be happy with what we get and when we get it.......

But in the performance renault realm I can't help but remember the days of the A110, R5T, R5GT, Clio cup etc where models were shown at the motorshows and we ended up just hoping that the performance models would come here and they never did, well private imports changed that a small bit.........

Sure we have the RS clio now, but do renault need to have a special selling arm in their showrooms like Holden/HSV, Mitso/Ralliart, Ford/FPV, Mercedes/AMG, maybe renault should have "RenaultSport "dealer arms to sell their RS cars (Clio and future Megane II) and offer "order only basis" for the special models like the "V6 Clio"

They could have a host of RS products, shirts, stickers, bags etc for us to buy at the RS centres and offer mods to new renault models like wheels, kits etc.

What do you think? question

Just remembered this site for good concept car images........
Check out the paris motorshow link and the renaults there

Umm, Espace is listed above in 2004???

So we are missing out on Avantime & Clio V6, both high cost, low quantity "niche" models

By the end of 2004 (according to the chart above), in Australia we should have:

Passenger cars:
Clio Expression
Clio Privilege
Clio RS
Scénic (II) Expression
Scénic (II) Dynamique
Scénic (II) Privelege
Scénic (II) RX4
Megane II
Megane Cabriolet (?)
Laguna Estate Privilege
Laguna Estate Authentique
Laguna Expression
Laguna Privilege
Laguna Authentique
Espace
Vel Satis

Commercial:
Kangoo
Trafic
Master

Looking at www.renault.co.uk, it would seem we are missing out on V6 Clio, Kangoo (passenger versions), Avantime + Clio Van.

Heck, I've said it before and I'll say it again, I think we have/will have the largest range of Renault vehicles available in Australia ever! (Someone correct me if I am wrong!) :D

You are so right - who would have dared hope it would be so good a few years ago. Bliss!! Unfortunately, what I actually want is a passenger Kangoo. It's the nearest thing to a modern R4 and so practical. Alas. I'm glad I bought my Xantia and decided that I shouldn't wait for the Kangoo.

I agree with europa. I think this is the Largest Renault range ever. I do wish the 4x4 kangoo was coming to Australia. That is the car that I want.
I might get a clio or Megane before 2004 if the cash flow is cool.
I think they are trying to stagger the models as the market is very small like louis said... renault_
