What do people think of the timetable and the new models............ off the http://www.goauto.com.au site
WHAT'S COMING
2003
April: Trafic medium commercial
June: Vel Satis luxury hatch
October: Megane II small hatch
2004
Espace large people-mover
Kangoo light commercial
Master large commercial
Megane II coupe/convertible
Scenic II compact people-mover
No avantime, no word of the New Clio V6 or Espace
Do people like the idea of having to wait for all these various models, it looks like renault are doing all they can, re "We are very much committed to this (Australia) and the commitment will be to bring the delay back from 12 months to between three and six month," Mr Schweitzer said. but it seems to me as we are such a small market, that we will just have to be happy with what we get and when we get it.......
But in the performance renault realm I can't help but remember the days of the A110, R5T, R5GT, Clio cup etc where models were shown at the motorshows and we ended up just hoping that the performance models would come here and they never did, well private imports changed that a small bit.........
Sure we have the RS clio now, but do renault need to have a special selling arm in their showrooms like Holden/HSV, Mitso/Ralliart, Ford/FPV, Mercedes/AMG, maybe renault should have "RenaultSport "dealer arms to sell their RS cars (Clio and future Megane II) and offer "order only basis" for the special models like the "V6 Clio"
They could have a host of RS products, shirts, stickers, bags etc for us to buy at the RS centres and offer mods to new renault models like wheels, kits etc.
