I'm not sure if this has previously been mentioned here, but the 407 will have double wishbone suspension at each end. Peugeot are stating there will be a 'sports saloon' and 'compact estate'. Apparently they hope to regain the driver appeal with this car which they've lost somewhat in recent times.

Where did you learn this?

Sounds wicked anyway.

Double-wishbone suspension at the front of FWD's really is the way to go IMO. Understeer becomes almost non-existant. Look at the Alfa 156, double-wishbone front suspension and it's attributed to being a big factor in being one of the best handling FWD cars.

Hopefully this will ensure some awesome handling for the 407, and they might be able to pack a bit more power through the front wheels.
