greetings to all,
i need a tip on lowering my 205. its an 87, with 15 inch speedlines. i have purchased a set of 17 inch "mak" wheels to go on. i want to know which way to turn the torsion bar to reset the rear ride height eg clockwise to lower. am trying to avoid doing it twice!

Doing the rear torsion bar on a 205 is a large job, also a car of your age (87)it will most likely need to have the bearings replaced. The fact you are also planning to run 17's will affect your overall gearing and cause your speedo to be out. Check out the gallery and there is a few 205's (Pugjet and WRX2PUG) with 17's. The plastic trim will also need to be trimmed a little on the inside to avoid rubbing or you can let the tyres take care of that!!

Check out <a href="http://www.205gti.com" target="_blank">www.205gti.com</a> there is an article on lowering the 205.
Good luck and post some pics when it's done!!
