Infer-red remote

My keyless entry has just decided to stop working, intailly i thought it was the battery in the key, so i replaced it but it stil not working.

Pain in the but to try and find the door lock to stick the key in at night.

Any one have any ideas what's causing this problem.

Go to an auto electrician and get him to retrofit a "Vision" brand remote unit. It is a digital signal I think and can be used from 40 metres away unlike the infra red unit that you need to be within 1 metre of the car for it to maybe work first go.
They are not expensive and can be fitted to the original central lock system.
Much better IMO.
Can be upgraded to alarm and or immobiliser.
Truly - piss the infra red off completely.
