I've started a Bittorrent Tracker server which is able to manage the distribution of an incar footage anyone may have. The address is http://brash.homeip.net:6969 You'll need to create an account first.
Bittorrent is a method of distributing information very quickly. For a more detailed explanation of the power of Bittorrent have a read of the following page.
http://www.bittorrent.com/introduction.html
To create a torrent to upload you must first get this program called Maketorrent.
http://krypt.dyndns.org:81/torrent/maketorrent/index.phtml
This will build a small index file (around 10-50k) which you need to upload to my server once you have created an account for yourself. This file is called a seed. This seed contains the information about how and where the real file can be downloaded from. Make sure when you create the torrent file you put in http://brash.homeip.net:6969/announce as the 'Announce URL'.
You then need another program which will manage the download and distribution of torrent files. I like using ABC (Another Bittortent Client) which can be downloaded for free from here.
http://pingpong-abc.sourceforge.net/
Once you install ABC, you add the torrent file you created with Make Torrent into ABC. The file on the server is then downloaded from my server by other users who are then able to connect to you to get the file. The next user then gets it from both sources which then greatly increase the effectiveness of the distribution of the file.
If you just want to download the videos you just need to get ABC, download the relevant torrent file from the Tracker, then open it with ABC and select a location for ABC to save the file as it's downloaded from the users whoa re seeding it.
It sounds complicated at first but is really quite easy to use. If you are behind a router/firewall you need to forward ports 6881-6889 to the IP address of the machine running the ABC client. A more detailed explanation can be found below.

On the outset I'd really like to see French car related footage if not only to justify this thread in Froggy Forum. I will also be strictly controlling the types of files uploaded. I WILL NOT accept illegal or copyrighted information to be seeded on this tracker and it will be deleted immediately along with the user account if this happens for the third time. Further, all programs listed above are free therefore it is totally legal to use this system for the transfer of legitimate information, but once it's used to transfer music, movies, programs, we run a great risk of being shut down so DO NOT DO IT.
Happy bittorrenting and if you have any queries feel free to ask and I'm sure one of our members can help.
