I have had an accident

with a return line from my accumulator.
Here's one to try your little brains out for you; LHM is a mineral based fluid as is motor oil & petrol so how long will rubber based hose suitable for petroleum/diesel or motor oil last if I use it as return line for LHM. This is of course assuming that I don't clout it with an oil filter removal strap like I did the last one.

Please give me the news I want to hear because I can't remember where else I've used it.

Tool/fastener/Engineering stores/suppliers usually sell hydraulic oil hose which isn't very expensive and it is made to take alot of heat and pressure so it's pretty durable.

I use large diameter hydraulic oil hose as a cheap and longer lasting alternative to genuine heater hoses on my 504.
