I have an M7 stripped thread in Aluminium and I would like to keep it M7 so I am looking at helicoiling it but can't find anywhere inserts for M7. Anyone have any sources I should check out?
I have all the tools to tap it out to M8x1 only need the helicoil itself.
I know this would be a very tricky one because the helicoil is probably thin as a hair, but if it is possible I would like to give it a go.
And yes, I know fine threads in Aluminium castings are not a good idea and I do have everything I need to go M8x1.25 just don't want to if I don't really have to.
