Gearbox codes

I posted this on another thread, but suspect as it was an oldie not many saw it. What's the last two numbers on the Ren gearbox code, ie. 352-56, 352-20? Are parts interchangeable between the 352- boxes?

I think the gearbox suffix mainly refers to gear ratios, and that parts are interchangable amongst the series (ie. 352 parts fit all 352)

That what I understand but I could be totally wrong, maybe someone else will have better knowledge...
