The sender is part of the fuel pump assembly. It's got a long metal arm on a float that moves up and down with fuel level. You'll find it under a black plastic cover underneath the back seat (driver's side, from memory). Try cleaning the sockets of the connector and see if that fixes it before attempting to remove the pump unit.
