Anyone had issues with power steering on a Fuego? Mine appears to be leaking from the seal for the steering arm on the right hand side. Can they be repaired? Can this be done in situ or does the whole rack have to come out which is a painful job?

Thanks Ken. The Haynes manual is no use at all. So any info out there will be helpful. Might go to Pedders at some stage or other steering specialists and see what they say.
I now have a power steer rack supplied by a club member. After cleaning it up and removing the rubber bellows, I can see how the steering arm could be removed. According to the MR218 manual, the steering arms can be removed but need to be replaced by new ones as the removal destroys the lock nut. I noticed one end has been removed previously and has been welded in place. So I guess that is the solution if one cannot find a new steering arm with a new lock nut. Before doing that I just need to see if the steering rack leaks any power steer fluid. You can buy stop leaks or power steer fluid with stop leak added, eg from Auto One, which apparently recon the seals. Will see what happens.
Col looking at those prices, seems pretty attractive for new tie rod ends - I have two sets purchased from Ken Bailey when he was operating out of Box Hill - I have them reserved as spares for my Fuego and Dianne's, bought them from Caravelle many years ago, but have survived on 2nd hand up till now, and I think I might have paid more than that over the counter from Ken (not sure) Those new ones were manufactured by Santucci-sicfa under the SASIC brand & marked pieces detaches pour vehicules Francais et Etrangers, part # 3008044 - the part itself is metal branded SASIC with #'s 3 4 stamped opposite on the adjustable shank and comes complete with the spring lock washer. Each individual part apparently o.k. to use for either left or right side use. I have a year 2000 Sasic Catalogue that shows the part (#5) on page 189 as Designation Axe de bielle D/G reference Sasic #3008044 Observation R1341 depuis ch n 504401 (note after n is like a degree sign) ref. Origine SNThe inner rod ends are available on Ebay Barry
