A tiddler system by any measure compared to the one a past ALP government destroyed in Sydney. Now they are coming back at huge cost. But we digress........

The maximum number of passenger vehicles in operation on the Sydney Main Tram System reached 1,535 in 1935. The demise of the trams occurred rapidly between 1949 and 1961, to be largely replaced by government operated diesel motor buses. The trams, under normal development conditions, may have survived on particular routes that suited their characteristics but the intervention of the Second World War had seen enormous patronage of the tram system but no on-going investment and only essential maintenance carried out. The projected capital cost of a massive refurbishment of the system ultimately led to its abandonment instead.

Of course, being the gold standard state, NSW has had sixty years to build a replacement tramway and quick as a flash, nothing. :)

It's the mouse test. Give enough concentration of anything to a mouse and you can get it to develop cancer. Bacon, toast, coffee, meat whatever you have in your sights. In life these problems don't arise.
Thank goodness cancer is just a textbook phenomenon and never happens in real life!
On the other hand there are really nasty chemicals that people kept quiet about like PFAS.
Huh? There has been a huge amount of noise about that one!
Self motivated interest groups promote one fuel
Like diesel?
Renault has state ownership and therefore not given to political games and Peugeot always stood apart from politics.

Lol
But they will have their own opinions at what is going on.

The ill informed propagandist who is literally afraid of his own breath is not a scientist but sprouts a scare mongering this'll kill you mantra without sound evidence to support his political program. But like many of his ilk he enjoys and uses the fruits of our industrial civilization while seeking to deny them to ordinary people. Diesel brings a high living standard and plentiful high quality food not only to the Australian people but to the world. Poverty and famine are the real killers.
Our laughing expert seems to have more knowledge of Peugeot than I and its relationship with French governments over two centuries. Perhaps he can inform us or I will be the one laughing.
Any person with any expertise in the environmental field would know the story of the long failures around PFAS.
Mickey Mouse degrees anyone?
Peugeot is a unique company that has survived and grown over a turbulent 200 years in France. It is not part of its business ethos to engage in deceptive conduct.

You are one of the least self aware and most self assured people I’ve ever come across. It’s genuinely fascinating.
