FRENCH CAR OWNERS MONTHLY TYRE KICKING DAY
(French cars are also welcome )

:afplak: :citplak: :pugplak: :renplak:
I have been hanging around car clubs for about 30 years. I am a member of 2 car clubs (3 counting Aussiefrogs). I for years attended monthly meetings.
During my club membership days I found that the formal part of the car club general meetings BORING! (Probably necessary, though).
The really enjoyable parts of the meetings are the pre and post formal meeting “TYRE KICKING”.

Sydney/NSW Froggy car owners NOW hold a once a month very informal “TYRE KICKING” gathering.

Regional, interstate “froggers” along with all age groups and sexes are welcome.
No committees and no memberships are required.

The “TYRE KICKING” is held the 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] Sunday of each month , commencing nominally around 10:30am & usually people drift off from about 1:30pm.

The “TYRE KICKING” should continue through till all, tyre kicking, parts exchanging, information gathering/sharing, boot sales, spruiking, skiting and general “B___S____ing” is complete.

Attendees may arrive and leave at any time at their leisure, attendees may continue on to a walk, a bike ride, a river ferry trip, a meal, a drive, a drink, an engine overhaul or whatever! Bring your club plated car or bring your dog?

NOTE: Anything formal is strictly banned.

THE INUAGARAL “FRENCH CAR OWNERS TYRE KICKING DAY”

(Was) Sunday 16[SUP]th [/SUP]March 2014 started at around 10:30am.

Next “FRENCH CAR OWNERS TYRE KICKING DAY" 19/5/2019

LOCATION*: Newington Reserve business car park at the north western corner of Holker Street and Slough Avenue, Silverwater 2128.
(Sydney Olympic Park area)
(only 300m south of where the French Car Day is held).
(Enter from southern lane of Holker St or from Slough Avenue)

*33degrees 49minutes 53seconds SOUTH - 151degrees 03minutes 08seconds EAST.
*I know the gathering place may not please all, though it is central for most (gives us westies a go), is a sizable well maintained and lawned area that should not be parked out, has amounts of shade, toilets (rough) and
under cover awnings for rain, a Free gas barbeque, nearby Newington shopping center (COFFEE within 500m), a nearby river, walks, playgrounds and pushbike tracks for mum and the kids (1km). You may also wish to arrive by ferry (3km) (very pleasant transport).

Note: Any excuse not to attend will be accepted!

If you call in someone will hopefully see you there! :)

I would so love to come! Unfortunately 16th is out for me, but if any of the usual crowd want to take the blue 605 they are welcome. It was washed two weeks ago.

Advertise this on all the Marques threads.

It only seems to be Peugeot dudes attending these things.

Would be great to see others there!

cam85,

sorry your above action is "banned":-"Anything formal ....... shall be frowned upon."

I am sure that there are more French car owners out there that are prepared to do a bit of "tyre kicking" (socializing) than we think, and they are all welcome to visit on Sunday (with or without thier French car).

See you there Cam.:)

Tyre Kicker.

I'd still like some sense that there will be a few tyres to kick before giving up my normal morning ride and heading across town - or is that too formal?

Where are the Citroen owners? eg: Renault12 or MichaelR - would love to see your cars! Any Renaults?

People may confirm their attendance if they wish, there are NO rules.Plenty of bike tracks at the venue. My bike fits in the back of my 205! :)

Ha! Single me out eh? ZERO Pugs turned up for my last French Car Coffee Morning so I am still feeling a bit miffed :)

Actually I would like to attend but I might have to work, but put me down as a possible.

Just a little off-topic, here is another possible venue for social meets, a cafe in Brookvale with a motoring theme. They will be licensed soon for a bar upstairs with coffee and "American Diner" food below.
