Ford vs ferrari

In 2016 there was a movie called "The 24 Hour War", Ferrari vs Ford at Le Mans.
It was more of a documentary, and less of a Hollywood movie.
As such, it had little entertainment appeal, and disappeared quickly.

Ferrari vs Ford is a Hollywood movie, and less of a documentary.
It may be entertaining, but is short on historical facts.
At least Ken Miles and his family get some deserved recognition.

Watch both movies to get a better appreciation.

24hr war is on Netflix and also another called Shelby American that uses a lot of the same interviews, etc.
 
Liked Peugeot vis Ferrari fuel station clash. The Ferrari scratched the front guard of the Peugeot.

The Ford vis Ferrari movie could have put more effort into presentation of the driving and gear changing skills. Hollywood just slam changed, where the Ford GT40 Mk2 was a some what specialist gear change e,g, high skilled drivers only. It was also twitchy on those tires with the shorter wheel base than the Mk4s. Check out some GT40 Mk2s being driving in vintages races on Youtube!

Yes, gear changes were terrible and very long shift movement.
 
My brother in-law took my sister to see it and she really liked it, said it had a good story line and I have heard couple of other wives also liked it, so might be the chance to take the Mrs along.
