For Renault 12 fans

They all need to have the seat lowered about 6 inches and chopped about 4 inches. The blue one needs the roof chopped 6 inches.

lol I'm so used to seeming them with normal dimensions I can't help but see the chopped roof as someone angrily squinting :D

I think, I like it?

This is the engine my associate Oli built, 1289cc, for historic racing in Romania. The inlet manifold is a period Pierre Ferry, modified. The final modeling is done, we'll start the foundry soon for a production run. Also, the same model for a rear engine (R8/R10) is also done for a later prod run

Check out those triangles welded in as supports, and check those rear trailing arms! What a great solution to the pressed pieces. Oh there is more..

Firstly that exhaust manifold really is a bit special. How lovely is that!

Also check the extra braces on the rear of the chassis, where the trailing arm is picked up prior to the beam. Better yet, note all the extra welds added along the chassis. So much work here. Flaming amazing!

Yes please! I know I'm salivating :p

That Dacia made all that noise with 1298cc's faaaaantastic :D

Bowie, that's the sound and horsepower you need !

Now that you have seen all those clever modifications, have you finished fabricating the new suspension using your new welder ?

No...... life has been getting in the way, (nearly found a house to live in, has garage, very happy) Got distracted with the NSW 6h and the Commodore. That's getting the funds at the moment :S

However, I'm just about to head into mine, and attach that rust free plate into the floor. Yaaaay!

But yeah, @olliedrbn Tell us more about that black weapon! :D

Yes, I know, running a multi car race team is difficult.
The house acquisition should be a priority, but do you realise that you could have built that rose jointed suspension for your R12 for less than what you have spent on your Commodore for the 6 hr event. Maybe even bought some bolt on horsepower with that supercharger too.
I also know what young-uns are like too.

I know.... but stop it, that (maybe not the sway bars) was maintenance all needed, cost of ownership, just have to be a little more patient *nods* :p

But quick thread derailment. Not wrong about the bolt on Supercharger kits! Goodness there are no less then 3x mobs that will sell you a ~$5k kit to add nearly 80kw :S And this is also on simply adding larger injectors, an inline pump, a bit more fuel pressure, (and a rotrex supercharger) and allowing the CPU already in the commodore to measure, which it does apparently up to around 12psi..

Ok enough of that, back to how good that Dacia is!
