Was due for an unrelated recall but first T9 diesel I’ve seen with a problem like this.

The sound deadening in the engine bay on a T6 is defective and fell onto the exhaust/turbo on ours and wrote it off. It was put out very quickly with minimal damage so it was obvious. I got interested in a T6 wagon the other day and that same piece of sound deadening was hanging by a thread. My original thread was called [h=2]307 HDi underbonnet fire[/h]

T5 is the same more attention needs to be paid when doing pollen filters it only takes 5 seconds and couple of self tapping screws
