I have one of those free MSN galleries up,

you can see what it used to look like, and what it looks like now. I've added a GTi fan grille and a passenger side mirror. Will add 14" alloys at some stage shy

Just looking at the instrument panel,

On the tacho, "Econoscope" is written on top. What's that?

Cheers,

Justin

Lol, I'm sure there will be many here who can explain exactly what it does and how, but basically its for working out how fuel efficiently you're driving. Its got three lights, a green, yellow and orange. They light up depending on how you're driving. Eg, if you fang it in 2nd you'll get the orange light, but you'll also get it if you crawl up a hill in 4th at 2000rpm.

Works off a vacuum or something.

Those photos look great takes me back to when i was a kid and my Dad was working for Telecom and he had to hire cars and the commodore was unavailable and he had to get a 505. I was in heaven...
Whats with the lack of Rev counter??

Eh??

I certainly have a tacho...

although you don't really need it, its pretty noisy when its doing more than 4000rpm :)

Wow, must be the only 505 with tweed seats that haven't unstitched themselves. Has anyone actually ever sat in that car or did they just trailer it around?

Dave

Yeah, there is only one small tear, and that is on the drivers seat - on the side bolstering. Its about 4cm long and 3cm wide. Thats the only bit, everything else is like new (especially the back seat).

I honestly do think its one of the best condition 505's I've come across. It even has an intact firewall - only down side is its heaterfan has started squeeking frown
