Dual mass vs single mass flywheel

But also... Back to the original question. Any huge negatives to converting to a single mass?

I did a dmf clutch on my sons 2010 Holden Cruze around ten years ago.it had a vibration/knock/imbalance at certain revs and found support bearing wear enough that rear pressure plate cover was hitting on inside of bellhousing.was able to get trade price (around $750 ) for dmf kit which wasn’t much more than converting to solid flywheel iirc.had feedback from a couple of other workshops at the time that were fearful of changing to solid flywheel on diesel engines car fitted with dmf,I guess more so to cover their quoites from comebacks.son sold vehicle about 12 months later and went back to Peugeots so win win..I won’t start on daughters clio rs200 clutch/cogbox woes at moment..grrr..jim
