Dspecial restoration 1975

The stainless steel plates finally arrived and just in time for the show after being stuck in custom for 12 days with no reasons given?? the car had its final comprehensive polishing on Saturday
I Took the car to the Silverwater all car show on Sunday. 100 of people looked at it, 100 of compliments received and unfortunately did not qualify for any prices???? You guessed it not good enough for the judges..
Amazing...........I corrected one of the judges which was looking in the engine bay thinking it was a DS23 fuel injected?????

Funny, it looks like a carburettor! You can't predict these things and must just rise above them. :( I reckon the car looks just wonderful - what a great job.

Cheers

Happy to say that after recalculating the final judging scores following the 16th of July by the NSW Citroen club it appears that they were 2 winners.
Consequently I've also received a trophy; also more important the records in the chevron will be amended.
I would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support during my restoration.

Chris; I'm happy for you to move this thread to the Completed restoration subfolder when you are ready
Thank you

hi sorry for reopening old thread

Can rust repair parts for windscreen area be purchased from any suppliers as the ds that I am looking at has same problem as this.

The good news is yes, just about anything needed to make those repairs is available.

The bad, this can be a costly exercise when you add in freight. You could look out for a wreck in better condition, that roof section does come up on ebay France/Germany but again shipping will cruel the purchase. Not an exercise to be undertaken lightly. . .

Cheers
