Damn C5

Penrite LDAS is a weird creation. It claims to be a replacement for LDS and LHM type fluids but is coloured green and specifically states that it is not suitable for use in mineral oil (LHM) systems. It does however meet the PSA specification for LDS.

LDS was coloured orange to avoid exactly the problem you had. Paris Motors are well aware of the problems that can come from using the wrong fluid and it becomes a warranty problem for them.

Back to your original problem. Seeing as the obvious problems have been exhausted, you need to find someone with the appropriate diagnostic equipment to interface with the car's computer. It may be expensive but a trip to Bayside Citroen might not be a bad idea. Just be prepared for the same discussion about fluids
Ringing my mechanic tomorrow, he has a Lexia diagnostic.

LHM is available again from Penrite and my local Repco stocks it. It's not the right stuff for a C5 - thats the LDAS goop shown above! There is a trick to priming the C5 pump - it needs about 7 PSI applied to the reservoir.

Synthetic is mostly a marketing term, but but is used for highly modified natural crude oils. You can argue oil day where the division starts, and the API won't use the word. The modified characteristics are important for some engines, as well as giving longer service life.

Yep. In the handbook it says:
Appliquer une pression de 0,5 bar dans le réservoir de fluide LDS

Use a cooling system tester.

U should only use total fluide LDS or the genuine Peugeot Citroen product for all hydractive 3 systems. Should never mix brands or colours unless U completely drain the system.
