cost of bringing 205 S2 motor to uk spec

As the topic says, what the average cost of bringing up a S2 205 gti motor upto the uk spec(possibly better)?

whats the power gain?

Depending on how much of a gain you want you could go for a fairly mild reground cam and change the filter and inlet piping. I'd try to make the inlet plumbing as short as possible with something like a pod filter on the end of it.

With the cam swap it should give it some more go.

Exactly my point Cant_get_enough. Leave it basically stock, get it just above UK 1.9 GTi spec., and be happy. Remember that 130hp with a long diff., is good for sub 8 sec. 0-100 times. With the shorter Aussie diff., low-mid. sevens should be easy. I'm going to puit mine on the dyno soon. Let's wait and see how good $400 worth of mods. are.
