Coolant water bottle sensor.

Well, though no codes, the warning message constantly came up: 'check coolant level'.

And the coolant level is perfect.

So I deduced it must the the sensor in the bottle.

Not easy to find exact part, but found one in Spain (used) and fitted it today.
Fingers crossed.

Did you try cleaning the sensor? The one shown in the last link looks pretty grotty.

No didn't clean. It looked decayed. Fitted new (used) unit.

Did it solve the issue? We will be working on an MK2 project soon after we finished installing the brake kit and nitto ridge grappler tires on the Jeep Wrangler project. It throws random check coolant warning.
