Free Citroen C4 2008, auto gearbox not working, near Coffs Harbour

I am posting on behalf of someone who is not too internet savvy. I also put it on CCC NSW FB page.

Car is a 2008 C4 with an auto gearbox problem, making it uneconomical to fix.

It is diesel with 250k km and unregistered.

Driveable but he is not sure how far it would go.

Car is located just north of Coffs Harbour.

Dijon, if this is a 1.6lt with 9H? in the VIN then it will be an EGS and the gearbox is an automated manual that is often described as as 'automatic'. If it is a 2.0 HDi with RHR in the VIN, then the gearbox is the regular auto AM6 with a torque converter. They have different issues and clarifying this might save you and the vendor some time.
