Cedric gets a floor shift conversion

My wife and son have been very reluctant to drive Cedric with a column shift. Well, a week ago the weather was fine and I had nothing else pressing to do so decided to convert to a floor shift that I acquired some time ago. A couple of days work modifying things to fit and work properly and what a difference it makes! Gears are much easier to find and quicker- shaved at least a few seconds off the 0-100 time.

Originally from a Japanese truck if I remember correctly.

There was a spring on this shifter originally, it centered the shifter and helped the flow between gears.

Interestingly the gear shift pattern is different from the Ivan Washington type floorshift.
