I need help with my Granddaughters 2006 Citroen C4 1.6hdi. It just decided to fail to proceed when she was driving a few weeks ago. Diagnosis says low fuel rail pressure. I found the primer bulb is not pumping or holding pressure when I pressurise the fuel tank, so I put a temporary bulb in the fuel line. That pumped fuel but would not get firm. I pulled the return line off and found as I pumped fuel was running straight back to the tank.
I have ordered a pressure regulator valve in hopes it may just be stuck open. Any other suggestions? I have also ordered a fuel harness that goes at the back of the motor so I can replace the fuel primer bulb. Gees, I hate cross engine cars!
