Best road from Brisbane to Tenterfield?

i have driven this road in my fiat Ducato van ,,there was lots of bikes about and every scenic car park was packed ,it is narrow ,and steepish ,but i managed ok ,in the big van ,camped o night at Queen Mary falls ,some stunning escarpments on the way up, similar to blue mountains ,agreed stunning
 
Don't bother exploring Mt Lindesay Road (or Spring Creek Road) at present - Road Closed signs are up at the Tenterfield end. Not sure where the problem is - not Washpool Creek. Could be Boonoo Boonoo River or Bookookoorara Creek, but I suppose it could be the gravel sections of the road.
 
New England Highway also closed at Lyra on Qld side of the border - between the border and Ballandean. No Vacancies at Accommodation Creek - it's full.

So if you need to cross the NSW/Qld border, suggest try the Pacific Highway - Newell Highway's no good either...
 
Yes, its obvious Queensland doesn't want us to visit...... what will they think of next?
