Just received an e-mail from Jon Wood at Andyspares in the UK telling me that Dave Bamber has sold his Berlingo, hence he has the only car in UK now sporting an aussiefrogs sticker.
I have valiantly tried without success to have a batch exported to them using every conceivable trick in the book but to no avail.
I have been told that everything from the CIA to KGB have been notified and that the possible cause is the Bermuda Triangle. dead evil evil dead
Dave is apparently getting desperate and Jon is finding it increasingly hard to resist the offers for his vehicle fitted with the sticker; give the lad his due though; he's still hanging in there.
blush Greenblood, you'll find the full story on your e-mail.

Crossed wires I think! I traded the old Berlingo 19D and bought another with HDI diesel, (See members gallery) and within an hour of the new car arriving, the dealer sticker went out and my last remaining Froggie sticker went in. So still 2 in the UK. :D :D
We need more over here, as my sister-in-law has just got a Peugeot 106 diesel in dire need of a sticker....... frown

Mongrel! We have recently heard stories about the performance of the HDi in the Berlingo. Sounds like a real wolf in sheep's clothing!

Give us a report soon on what you think please.

Rgds

And also some info on the increased performance characteristics with aussiefrogs sticker attached. Must add at least 10% to engine power!!

:D :D

Its true about that sticker!
We own a blue Berlingo Multispace 1.9D, driven by Mrs W, who previously drove a 2cv then a Visa Diesel. We got the Berlingo as she doesn't like going "too fast". The Berlingo sports the Aussie Frogs sticker in the rear window.
Anyway, last Sunday I was driving the old ZX TD home down the Motorway at about 80mph when I was overtaken. By a blue Berlingo with an Aussie Frogs sticker.
Its not quite as quick as the HDi but we're working on it!

HDI Diesel Multispace, what can I say, It goes like **** off a spade. Engine is 90hp turbo without an intercooler. :D It's a vast improvement over the 19D non turbo apart from the economy which is about the same, but this should improve with a few more miles on the clock. Gearing is very high (27mph per 1000rpm in 5th) so pottering around town is a 3rd gear job, the flip side of this is it will do over 100mph (untested!) :D  which ain't bad for a van with windows!! Loads of torque straight away, then you get to 1500rpm and whoosh, off like a rocket! I've got the Aussie Frogs sticker in the rear so now I'm set for the Monarco GP!! tongue The ride is on the firm side but gets better with a bit of weight on board and the handling is excellent. The brakes are very good, fronts are huge vented rotors from a Xantia. Build quality is good apart from a heater pipe that is insecure and has rubbed on the cylinder head. It is to be replaced under warranty.

I got a fully loaded one so it came with twin air bags, electric front windows, heated and electric mirrors, remote cental locking, ABS, Modutop and aircon. I always thought aircon in the UK would be a waste of cash but now I wouldn't be without It. I fitted alloy wheels last week and a front spoiler from a Peugeot 206 so now it looks even better. I'll send gibgib another piccy for the gallery soon :D :D :D

Can you get the Multispace Aus? If so, does it sell well? If it's not on sale do you think it would sell? Are Berlingos made in Aus or are they shipped out CKD? All Europe Berlingos are built in Vigo, Spain.

Nice to hear reports of how good the Berlingo is. Better not say too much about it or our local manufacturers will be "lobbying" the Government to restrict it's import (That's whats known in Australia as competition on a level playing field) or if PSA think it is a bit too good and might sell too well, they might decide not to import it at all
As regards the stickers; I had a response from Bob in the UK telling me that his daughter reckons she is definitely sending them but so far they haven't arrived. That's the good news.
Now for the bad; depending on how he is today, he is due to be going overseas for 6 weeks. He has left instructions that they are to be forwarded on to Jon Wood if they arrive during his absence.
Given the importance of this issue, I suggested that he either
(a) Stays in the UK until they arrive. or
(b) Comes via Australia, picks them up personally, returns to the UK and THEN goes on his overseas trip.
He hasn't responded - wonder why

Dave,
The Belingo sounds like a very desirable car, despite comments on this board no shame in carrying the Citroen badge on that beast. Just be careful about using more than one aussiefrog sticker wink

On the sticker front I have been working behind the scenes blush I have been in contact with Canberra and it looks like in cooporation with President Bush, Australia is going to supply six of it's crack SAS as an escort on Airforce One to get the stickers into the UK, it helps to have contacts when all else has failed

Cheers

Stickers. Do you think that if I asked my Boss nicely they'd pay for me to fly out and collect 'em? Probably take about a week, for which they'd have to pay me! wink
Mind you, on the return flight home I'd probably get highjacked or something, or else my luggage with the stickers in would be mis-routed to Afganistan.
Berlingo, Dave is quite right to sing its praises. We're on our second one, opting for the 1868cc DW8 diesel. Interestingly, the Multispace was a "Citroen only" job since it was launched, but I see that you can now buy a Peugeot Partner version, identical in all respects apart from the grille and bdages. Oh, and its £800gbp more than the Citroen. For no apparent reason. question

I'll take a bunch of stickers with me to the UK in July, if you can wait that long! I've got about 30 of each left from memory.

How's that for personal delivery?

Derek.

I asked for a couple of Aussie Frog's sticker's to be mailed to be ages ago & in return I would mail a copy of our "Torque" magazine from the Peugeot Sport Club here in the UK.

But I still haven't seen anything! Greenblood I think you should have my postal address....

Mark,

Yep, got your address, Your stickers are now on there way wink (with armed escort :D )

When you do get them, try one at first, we've had no experience with how the stickers affect the Pug 106 GTi :D

Cheers
Chris
