I have just uncovered a long lost kit to fit a Peugeot 504 engine into a 203 or 403. It enables the 2L to fit in a vertical position to suit the engine bay.
It includes a modified sump (to clear the crossmember under the engine), an external oilpump, a modified timing case, a chain to drive the oilpump, an inlet manifold to suit the upright engine and all the other bits and pieces needed.

as above. It must be worth something?
 
Would need some sort of modified bell housing or adaptor plate?

That is right Graham. When I advertised this some years back I seem to recall that you advised that you had such a modified unit. Do you still have it? If so I will tell the new owner.
