Another 'Who owns this car'. Blast from the past.

I wonder if the 203 ute Toll restored ever went of display at the company? It did a re-run and was accompanied by local cars but suffered a linkage failure before Adelaide and ended up on a truck. Taking those utes up the Pentlands on a frosty night would have been icy business.

Still on the paddock. Any of the 'older guard' out there remember a Desmond Tester, from an arvo - evening show back in the late fifties, early sixties on TCN 9 called 'Desmond Tester and the channel 9 Pins. He had done a T.V. add for IPEC with this ute at around the time this snap was taken, around early to mid '80s? She was a non goer at the time and had to be flat towed at walking paceView attachment 126093 along the road while Desmond made the commentary from behind the wheel. Someone out there might know how to retrieve the footage from where ever in the archives they're hiding it.

Had sheet metal door trims and after they finished using it they stuck it up on the pallet racks in the IPEC warehouse for a number of years

Still on the grass in the '80s, this time a group of four, with at least one of these being given a new lease of life recently, back from the brink out of a damp 'chook' shed. Two of the others are definitely still 'above ground', needing a bit of the old TLC treatment. Out of the 24 or so 2ohs listed so far, there's a count of 12 out of the list photo 41 (2).JPG that are known to have survived to the present day.

I only recall 2 yellow 203's around then Gary Cooke's hot 203 and my ex speed shop car.

Out to the central west we go in the early '80s forphoto 66 (2).JPG this one, in the town of Gulgong. Any recollections for anybody on this smart looking beasty.

photo 53 (2).JPGMoving to another town in the early '80s, Fyshwick A.C.T. Weather wise, not a nice day, this particular car, 203 1173319 was from Concord out of Sydney, showing the MASTER, Lew Edwards giving her a top up of juice.

Down the road to Cooma for this car, little 'ol lady behind the wheel was it's owner from new, the car being around 25 years old at that time. Couple of likely lads from Canberra were trying to talk her into selling, but she wouldn't have a bar of it. Good girl, she stuck to her guns!

Back to warmer parts, on the coast at Ulladulla. '81- '82. This car had only been recently been 'tidied' up by a local young guy, and was looking pretty good at the time, seemed to be with it's original plates of AIF-573, likely an 'A' model, going by the gutter line. Any takers on this one?photo 61 (2).JPG

Heading west again, into the suburbs of Canberra in the early '80s, where this talented guy had a 'special project' in progress, and should certainly ring a bell with a number of 'froggers'. This special 'project' is moving along quite well now after a long spell of being under wraps so to speak. photo 25.JPGIMG_9662 (3).JPG............More to come, as after a bit of a sneek 'peek a boo', still a bit to do on her yet..............
