another 203 for sale on gumtree...

PC is May 1950 in Vic so SY is maybe Sept/Oct. Production would be around April 1950. Quite a few 113's about so a big shipment. Optimistic seller.

the last time l saw the car was in the early 80's
yes l remember going to Geelong to pick up the 203 with Steve...

To make a new floor that doesn't look like the awful plates people used to weld in is a skilled task. This would be a large and expensive project.
 
Like a ‘32 ford or 356 porsche, perfect and, AFAIK, comprehensive repair pressings are available for the lower six inches.
That is from France but there ought to be at least one Castlemaine business capable of producing them too.
 
The floor pan has to be pressed to get the right indentations and then there is the problem of joining it to rusty seat mounts and sill panels. For that amount of welding a solid jig would be needed to keep the chassis true. When Renault took over the operation in 1966 there were a number of new 203 floor pans at Heidelberg and they were eventually sent back to France. It is possible to rebuild anything but the cost of the end result is often far greater than its finished value. The most economical restoration project is one that starts with a sound body and a complete car. Often an unfinished project can represent good value.
 
Hmmm tempting as parts for my 203C but all I really would want are the wheels and tyres with full set of hubcaps... a bit dear at $937 each...having said that, anyone know of any 203 hubcaps available?
